Toolbar and icons in MathType Web
Reading time: 9minReference for the toolbar tabs, symbols, templates and editing controls available in MathType Web.
Summary
The MathType Web toolbar groups symbols and mathematical templates into tabs. Use this reference to find the notation or control you need, then follow the linked articles for instructions.
This reference applies to MathType Web in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and HTML editor integrations. Available tabs and controls can vary according to the integration, language and toolbar configuration.
A symbol inserts an individual character or operator. A template inserts a mathematical structure with editable spaces, called slots, such as a fraction's numerator and denominator. An editing control changes existing content, formatting or layout.
