When you arrive at the home page, you’ll have two main options:

✅ Create a new quiz – Start building your own quiz.
✅ Explore sample quizzes – These aren’t just a content bank, but a collection of best practices showcasing what’s possible with Learning Lemur.

Step 1. Create your first quiz

2️⃣ [Optional] Add a description – This will be visible to students and can include an introduction or important instructions for your students.

                    Step 2. Add questions

Now, it's time to add questions! You can choose between:

                    🔹 Open answer questions
                    🔹 Multiple choice questions

Type of question Open Answer Multiple Choice
Response Format Students type their own response using the math editor or a handwriting mode. Students select one of the options from a list.
Answer Flexibility Free text response with no predefined choices. Fixed options that can be sorted randomly.
Grading Automatically graded using our math evaluation engine, considering the settings the teacher has defined. Automatically graded if correct answers are set.
Customization Can include randomized values in the statement, the answer fields and the feedback. Can include randomized values in the statement, the answer choices and the feedback.
Feedback Teachers can set custom feedback based on different answer patterns (correct, partially correct, incorrect). Teachers can set custom feedback for each answer choice, which are based on different answer patterns (correct, partially correct, incorrect).

Step 3. Share the quiz with your class

Once your quiz is ready, you can assign it directly to your class in Google Classroom. The quiz will appear as a draft assignment, allowing you to review and adjust any necessary settings in Google Classroom before publishing.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

Tip: You can adjust the grade weight of each question before sharing the quiz with your students. This allows you to assign more importance to complex questions or balance the overall quiz difficulty.

Step 4. Share with your peers

Want to collaborate with another teacher? You can share your quiz via a link, allowing them to add it to their own content bank.

Step 5. Automatic grading & feedback

When students complete the quiz, Learning Lemur will:

                    🔹 Automatically evaluate their answers
                    🔹 Provide instant feedback
🔹 Send scores directly to Google Classroom

                    Student's experience

When students complete a quiz assigned by their teacher, they receive instant feedback with a summary of their performance.

                    • They can see an overview of their responses, highlighting which answers were correct, partially correct, or incorrect.
                    • Students can review each question individually, checking the feedback provided for their specific answers.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video.

Tip: When creating a question, add customized feedback to guide students when they answer incorrectly. You can even provide a step by step solution to help them understand their mistakes. This allows students to self correct and learn independently, reinforcing their understanding of the concept.

                    Teacher's experience

Once students complete the quiz, the grades are automatically recorded in the Google Classroom assignment.

                    • Teachers receive an overview of student scores, allowing them to quickly assess class performance.
                    • If needed, teachers can review individual student attempts, checking their answers.
